Grilled BBQ Chicken


Ingredients  

  • 3-4 pounds chicken, cut up, thigh, legs and/or breasts, skin on
  • 2-3 tablespoons olive oil 
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups BBQ Sauce, homemade or store-bought plus additional for serving if desired

Instructions 

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat
  2. Clean chicken and pat dry with a paper towel
  3. Lay in a single layer on large baking sheet
  4. Drizzle with olive oil
  5. Sprinkle with salt and pepper
  6. Turn chicken over and repeat on other side
  7. Place chicken on grill skin side down for 10-15 minutes or until the skin is browned
  8. Turn chicken and baste with BBQ sauce
  9. Continue cooking 15-20 minutes
  10. Turn on baste with more sauce
  11. Cook 5 minutes longer or until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F
  12. Remove from grill and place on a serving tray
  13. Rest for 5 minutes before serving
