Ingredients:
- 16 ounces ground beef OR ground Turkey
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 8 ounces fresh mozzarella pearls
- 12 ounce Jumbo Pasta Shells
- Baking Spray (optional)
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon dry parsley (optional)
- Extra Pizza Sauce for dipping (highly recommended)
Instructions:
- Add ground meat and Italian seasoning to a skillet.
- While meat is cooking, add pasta shells to a large pot of salted water. Boil for about 14 minutes. Drain and Set aside.
- Cook on medium heat until brown. Drain grease.
- Remove from heat and pour into a mixing bowl.
- Add 1 cup pizza sauce to meat and stir.
- Take one cooked jumbo shell and add a spoonful of meat to the inside.
- Press 2 mozzarella pearls into center of meat.
- Use a second shell to wrap around the meat and bottom shell, creating a pocket.
- Do this for all shells and meat.
- Spray basket of air fryer with baking spray.
- Lay pasta pockets in a single layer in the basket of the air fryer.
- I can only fit 6 at a time in mine, so you may have to cook more than one batch.
- Cook in the Air Fryer at 400F for 12-15 minutes, until the shells are crispy but not burnt.
- Remove from air fryer, sprinkle with grated parmesan and parsley. Serve Warm with Pizza sauce for dipping.
Tips:
- if you cook more than 1 batch of these in the air fryer, the 2nd and 3rd batches may not take the entire 15 minutes because the air fryer will already be hot. just check on them after 10 minutes to make sure they don’t burn.
- Don’t take a bite of these right out of the air fryer! You will burn your mouth.
