Ingredients:
- Beef (mix boti) ½ kg
- Oil 1/2 cup
- Fried onions (sliced) 2 large
- Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
- Tomatoes 2 large
- Red chili powder 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder ½ tsp
- Coriander powder 1 tbsp
- Cayenne pepper powder 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper (whole) ½ tsp
- Star anise 1
- Black cardamom 1
- Green cardamom 4-5
- Cloves 4-5
- Cinnamons 2
- Bay leaf 1
- Yogurt ½ cup
- Lemon juice 3 tbsp
- Fresh coriander ½ bunch
- Rice ½ kg soaked 30 minutes and boiled with salt & whole spices
- Lemon (sliced) 1
- Tomato (sliced) 1 medium
- Fresh coriander (chopped) 1-2 tbsp
- Screw pine 2 ½ tbsp
- Yellow color ¼ tsp
Instructions
- In a heated pan add oil beef and mix well until meat changes color. Add ginger garlic paste and mix well for 2 minutes. Cover and cook on low flame for 5 minutes. Add tomatoes fried onions and mix well. Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cayenne pepper powder, salt, black pepper, star anise, black cardamom, green cardamom, cloves, cinnamon sticks and bay leaf. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes. Now add water, mix and bring it to boil, cover and cook on low flame until meat is tender (approx. 1 hour). Add yogurt and mix well. Then add lemon juice and fresh coriander,mix well and cook until oil separates & set aside.
